Opium Harvest in Helmand
--IWPR (Record breaking harvests and cheap prices have turned Afghan opium into a buyer's market, actually forcing the government to intervene on behalf of the farmers. There is no mention in this article of where the majority of the opium and opium profits are going once they leave the country, but the IWPR is providing excellent on-the-ground reporting on the evolving situation in Helmand.)
