About The American Monitor

The American Monitor, established in November of 2006, provides regular news updates and articles on a variety of social, political, and environmental issues. Simply put, this website monitors what the American media prints, misses, and omits.

From government secrecy, to corporate and political corruption, to the "war on terror" and its erosion of civil liberties, to world energy security, to climate change, to election fraud, to the unconstitutional blending of religion and politics... The American Monitor is dedicated to highlighting the stories usually buried in the back pages of your daily newspaper, if ever printed at all.

Patrick Devlin Buckley, a freelance journalist and web designer residing in New York's Capital District, is currently the sole writer, editor, and webmaster of The American Monitor.

News tips from readers are also welcome and may be sent here.

In addition to his contributions to this website, Patrick, who writes under his middle name, has written articles for The Troy Record, The Daily Gazette of Schenectady, From The Wilderness, Online Journal, Dissident Voice, and several other publications. He also regularly contributes to Energy Bulletin's newswire.

This website is provided free of charge, but if you find The American Monitor informative and wish to help keep it up and running on a permanent basis, you may make a much-needed donation by visiting the link on the left-hand side of this page.
